Nestled amidst Devon’s green and rolling hills, a short distance from the crashing waves of the untamed North Devon coastline Coulscott House is a treasure trove of fun-filled activities dressed up in opulent period features and an aura of comfortable extravagance. A chandelier here, a picture rail there, feature fireplaces aplenty, intricate cornices, and substantial baseboards set the scene. Yet, this is a dwelling that unites all in its embrace. Spend evenings in the warmly lit living room, gathered around the 50” TV. Engage in a TV series marathon or peruse movies and live sports. Alternatively, delve into the book collection while relaxing on the inviting sofas.

In search of a different vantage point? Retreat to the snug or the secondary lounge, discreetly accessible through a secret bookcase door – just when you believed Coulscott House couldn’t become more intriguing, it offers a touch of Agatha Christie mystique!

The children will be sidetracked by endless hours of fun spent in the heated indoor swimming pool. And an array of diversions await, including an indoor soft play zone, an outdoor pirate ship-themed play area, miniature football, croquet, cricket, badminton, a trampoline, and a game room furnished with table tennis.

All of these indulgences leave the grown-ups with ample opportunity to unwind in the inviting hot tub, amble through woodlands past meadows, streams, and ponds, stoke up the logburner, and enjoy timeless movies on streaming platforms like Netflix and Prime. Arrange for on-site yoga or a massage session, swap whimsical tales around the evening firepit, while a private chef crafts your dinner—accompanied by the flow of Prosecco.

Both kitchens are spacious, well-lit, and breezy, equipped with dual range cookers, an induction cooktop, and range hobs for preparing delectable feasts sourced from the local farm shop. Enjoy casual grazing at the kitchen island’s high stools or come together in the sophisticated dining room. After dining, entrust the dirty dishes to the two dishwashers.

Dine alfresco on the terrace, breathing in the countryside air. Alternatively, summon our adept chef for everything from a buffet to a 7 course tasting menu, and unwind under the sun’s rays. Explore local pubs, such as the famed The Pyne Arms for moules marinieres or a charcuterie platter, or visit The Pack O’ Cards for a traditional carvery. Indulge yourself at the highly regarded Kentisbury Grange, relishing in locally inspired seasonal fare, or enjoy clotted-cream scones from The Galleon Café, fresh fish and chips from The Black and Whites.
